Is it too late to get in on the auction craze?

Online auctions have been around for several years now. eBay by far is the largest online auction website in the world. It has over one billion registered members and hundreds of new accounts created everyday. eBay has recently became a household name and a common phrase we've all heard or said is "have you looked on eBay?"

Online auction sites are a great chance to earn some extra spending money from selling unwanted items around the house. They are also however a great way to earn a living. Thousands and thousands of people work at home everyday selling items on eBay. They have decided to make a living being an online auctioneer.

Since there are so many making a living working with eBay, many people might ask is it too late to get into the online auction craze? Is there too much competition to even start your own eBay business? My answer to this question is no.

More than likely you won't decide to sell the same material as your other online competitors. It's true there are 1000's of people earning a living with eBay; however, there are also 1000's of different products you can choose to sell. There are many wholesale websites that will sell products dirt cheap and they can in turn be sold on eBay for a profit. You can also get your inventory from yard sales and garage sales. Another idea is to go to live auctions in your city and then resell the items online to a bigger audience. I've also talked to people who buy storage lots that no one came back to claim. Storage facilities are willing to let them go dirt cheap to clean out the unit and make way for another customer.
