You may have seen the term, but what exactly is a online specialty auction? There are advantages and disadvantages associated with specialty auctions. The advantages of specialty auctions include more inventory of a paticular item. However, with a specialty auction just for ticket sales you might find exactly what you are looking for. A third advantage is that the buyers and sellers that use a specialty auction service are much more serious about what they are selling as opposed to the casual online auction users. Service and communition will probably be better than with the casual auction website.

With every good there has to be a bad. There are a few disadvantages associated with using online specialty auctions. The first, there are usually much fewer members (buyers and sellers) that are registered with specialty auction websites. This means that starting bids might be a little higher because merchants want to make sure they make some type of profit on their inventory. The second disadvantage is that the buyers will be more serious about purchasing a paticular item so final values of some auctions may be a little more expensive. Finally, for those selling on specialty auctions fees associated with auctions might be a little more expensive to make up for the lack of members.

As with any website do your research before you sign up to buy or sell with a specialty auction website. It's very easy to set up a website to use for evil purposes. Many hackers can have a scam website set up and running in less than 24 hours!
