How to start your own auction website

Now that you see how much money can be made with an auction site, you're ready to start your online auction website.

At first it sounds like the greatest idea in the world, but with this article I am going to present to you all the challenges and pitfalls that you will face when starting your own online auction website.

The first challenge you will face is getting members to join your new auction site. You will have a hard time getting people to list items for sale because you don't have any members to bid on the merchandise. You will also have a hard time getting bidders to join because there isn't any merchandise to bid on or any items that are listed are going to have a high starting bid because the seller doesn't want to give away the items.

I know this from personal experience. I tried to create my own auction web site a while back and even when I personally asked people to join they were nothing but negative.

As you can see it's a vicious cycle trying to get buyers and sellers to your auction site. If you still decide to continue with your efforts here are a few tips on how to recruit members:
