Trust is very important with any online business and online auction websites are no exception. Before you sell any major product with an online auction website you should make sure potential bidders can trust you. How do you go about building customer trust? The best way to build trust with an online auction website is to improve your feedback score. Your feedback score is determined by the from other buyers and sellers on the auction site.

When you join any online auction website always take a look around the site. Get familiar with all the different buyer and seller options including fees.

I feel it is better to start by making some small purchases. Get sellers to give you positive feedback. Make sure to keep good communication with the seller and pay for the items you win promptly.

After winning a few auctions and getting a positive feedback from sellers start selling some smaller items. Don't list larger items until your feedback score is higher and you have been a member for at least 6 months.

Higher positive feedback will bring higher bids to items. This is why it is better to list larger items once your feedback score is higher. Sometimes bidders will be hesitant to bid with newer members with little feedback.
